The BIQU Panda Bamboo Feeder is an active filament feeder for FDM 3D printers. The system supports the filament during transport to the extruder. This is particularly useful with heavy filament rolls, flexible materials, and setups with a long or winding filament path.
The built-in ESP32 controller adjusts the feed to the printer's filament consumption. As a result, the extruder needs to exert less force to pull the filament from the spool. This helps reduce problems caused by high resistance in the filament path.
The buttons on the housing allow you to automatically load and retract filament. The feeder also features a 1.3-inch OLED screen that displays the status and settings. You can access the Web UI via Wi-Fi, allowing you to configure and operate the feeder from a phone or computer.
A single Panda Bamboo Feeder can use two filament rolls consecutively. When the first roll is empty, the system can automatically proceed to the second roll. By connecting up to three feeders, this automatic roll change function can be expanded to four rolls. This is useful for large prints, long print jobs, and using up partially used rolls.
The Panda Bamboo Feeder works with most FDM 3D printers. BIQU has specifically optimized the system for the Bambu Lab X1, P1, P2, and A1 series.
