Bambu Lab ASA Aero is a self-foaming filament designed for light, strong prints. During printing, the material foams up in a controlled manner due to heat. This allows you to influence the density of your model and create prints that are remarkably lightweight. This is ideal for projects where weight is important, such as RC airplanes and other model building.
In addition to its low weight, ASA Aero remains a true ASA variant. The material is durable and tough, and it is highly resistant to temperature, water, and UV. As a result, it is also suitable for parts used outdoors that need to last a long time. Think of outdoor components, covers, and functional prints that must not age quickly due to sunlight.
This variant is white and comes with a spool. You receive 1 kg of filament with a diameter of 1.75 mm. The spool is made of PC+ABS and is heat-resistant up to 90 °C. Bambu recommends a nozzle temperature of 240–280 °C and a bed temperature of 80–90 °C. A 0.4 mm nozzle is recommended (0.6 and 0.8 mm are also suitable). Use an Engineering Plate or High Temperature Plate with adhesive for good adhesion. Store the filament airtight with desiccant and keep the humidity below 20% RH.
